We also offer gas boiler and gas fire service and inspection and gas cooker inspections. Plus, we do LPG gas inspections and repairs on domestic installations. Not only in houses but also caravans, boats and motor homes. We will carry out gas and electrical Homebuyer inspections for the sales market and gas and electrical repairs and remedial works.
Many people are aware that legally a tenanted property must have an up to date gas certifcate. There is no legislation to say that electrical appliances must be tested but are you aware that if anything goes wrong electrically you could be liable? Apart from the Landlord's Common Law duty of care, the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985 requires that the electrical equipment is safe at the start of every tenancy and maintained in a safe condition throughout the tenancy. Electrical hazards are also covered by the Housing Health and safety Rating System under the Housing Act 2004. It is important to ensure that all electrical appliances and fittings within the property are safe and in good working order. Unlike gas regulations, there is no law that says you must have a landlord electrical safety certificate. But, should any electrical fittings or appliances within your rental property cause harm to a tenant you could be held responsible.
One dual qualified Engineer to undertake both inspections, making it much easier for gaining access. We can manage access to the property through our office booking system, offering tenants, landlords and agents flexible options for timed appointment slots.
Every Dualfuel Services engineer will carry a Gas Safe Register ID card and a NAPIT ID card.
